I snuck one more session in this year :) Had to get in baby's first Christmas...

Christmas vacation!!!

Well, I made it... just a couple more orders to deliver and I am done for the year :D No more new sessions to share so I thought I would throw out random goodies here and there...

Countdown to Christmas...

A dear friend/fellow photographer (check out her site here) has been wanting me to do her family pictures and I have really been wanting to do a shoot at a Christmas tree farm. They needed a tree and we had a nice weekend, so we bundled everyone up and headed out! This is really the first time that I have done a family outing/day in the life shoot for anyone but my own family and I love how it turned out. The ideas/inspiration just kept coming. I think I could have shot all day... okay, maybe we did ;)

and in this case, I would say probably a last as well ;) Don't get me wrong, I love animals. I mean LOVE animals- big, small, in this case- scaley... but getting within five feet of this one? yeah, not so much (insert shivers and cold sweat). Our model, on the other hand, was a pro. She had them wrapped around her little finger (and everything else). This shoot was set up by the lovely Kathy Carlisle of Heaven's Eye Photography. She invited Shyla and I over to play (check out their blogs for way more amazing stuff!)...
